Ilford BID is delighted to announce the generous donation of two landmark mural spaces to support Ilford inColour 2026, providing artists with one of the largest public art canvases ever created in Ilford Town Centre.
The donation includes a 25-metre wall and an impressive 100-metre wall on Ilford Hill, creating a significant opportunity to transform prominent public spaces into vibrant works of art that will be enjoyed by residents, businesses and visitors for years to come.
This remarkable contribution, alongside sponsorship of Ilford inColour 2026, represents a major investment in Ilford's cultural landscape and demonstrates a shared commitment to creating a more vibrant, welcoming and visually inspiring town centre.
The new mural locations will form part of the expanded 2026 programme, which takes place on 15 and 16 August, bringing internationally recognised mural artists to Ilford to create large-scale public artworks live across multiple locations.
The programme is delivered by Ilford BID in collaboration with the London Borough of Redbridge, with Wood Street Walls appointed as the official creative delivery partner.
As one of London's leading public art organisations, Wood Street Walls will oversee artist selection, creative curation and programme delivery, ensuring every mural contributes to a lasting visual legacy whilst celebrating the diversity, creativity and identity of Ilford.
The addition of these two significant mural spaces further strengthens Ilford inColour's ambition to become one of London's leading public art festivals, encouraging thousands of visitors to explore the town centre, support local businesses and experience art in unexpected places.
